How our NDIS moving process works
From the first quote to moving day, here’s exactly what to expect when you move with NDIS support through Gold Line.
Step 1 - Get your NDIS-ready quote online
Step 2 - Share the quote for plan approval
Step 3 - Confirm your move date
Step 4 - We handle everything on the day
How we work
Self-managed
- You manage your own NDIS funds. You pay for the move directly, then claim reimbursement from the NDIA using our invoice.
- We provide a detailed tax invoice with all line items. You submit this to the NDIA portal for reimbursement. You can engage any provider, registered or not.
Plan-managed
- A registered plan manager handles your funds and pays providers directly from your NDIS budget.
- We invoice your plan manager directly, no out-of-pocket cost for you. Share our quote with your plan manager for approval and we handle the rest.

Does NDIS cover the cost of moving?
The NDIS is most likely to approve moving costs when:
- Your current home cannot be modified to meet your disability needs
- The cost of modifications would be excessive compared to moving
- You are relocating to housing better suited to your disability support requirements
- The move aligns with goals in your NDIS plan
If eligible, funding typically comes from your Core Supports or Capacity Building budget. The most important step is to speak with your NDIS planner or support coordinator before committing to a move. We can provide a detailed, itemised quote your planner can use to assess the request.
Moving with NDIS, here’s what you need to know!
Any disruption to our daily routines can affect our mental health negatively. However, for individuals with disabilities, moving can also present an opportunity to enhance their quality of life.
The NDIS can offer support and funding to alleviate the stress associated with relocation. This support may include assistance with storage, cleaning, and hiring NDIS removalist services.
For example, you might require help with packing and unpacking belongings, ensuring that essential items are readily available. It’s crucial to select NDIS removalists who understand and are sensitive to your needs.

Assistance from the NDIS in Your New Home
Discuss with your NDIS planner the available support options and how you can access these additional services.
If you’re considering modifying your new home or constructing a new one, a home modification assessor will assess your disability-related needs. Typically an occupational therapist with specialised qualifications, they will recommend appropriate home modification supports tailored to your requirements.
Their recommendations may include:
- Larger rooms with wider hallways and corridors
- Installation of accessible power outlets, light switches, and benchtops
- Creating a step-free entrance with even layout
What Our Customers Say About Our NDIS Removals
Goldline moved me yesterday. We had three guys, they were on time, so friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. I have moved a few times and this was the best experience of all time. It was a tricky house we moved into, but this didn’t bother them at all. Highly, highly recommend.
Very professional, efficient and organised team. Removalists were on the dot, friendly and took care with protecting all articles. In particular, Izzabella from the administration department was also exceptional in her customer service.
The guys were great. Friendly, showed up on time, were very respectful, and were good to talk to. Price was good, as you get 3 hours, not 2 like other Businesses. Very satisfied and would gladly use you guys next time.
Absolutely brilliant experience – from booking, to moving out, to storing all my things, and moving back in again. The guys that did the actual moving were so polite, respectful, quick, on time, and did an amazing job. Thanks again. You guys made the process of moving less stressful.
Would highly recommend Goldline removals. Victor and John helped us move, polite guys and very respectful with our belongings. They went above and beyond in their service. Thank you again from Amber & Aaron.
I had a fantastic experience with Gold Line. Pedro and Paolo were punctual, professional, and very lovely to speak with. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of removalists. Thank you again for everything!
We are very happy with the removal service recently provided by Goldline Removals. Both gents who came to our place were fantastic, they moved all our belongings with care & extremely efficient! Much appreciated for their service! Highly recommended.
I highly recommend this company. From initial contact to the end of our move, the team were fantastic. Alex and Vitor were so polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble even with our bulky furniture. Quote was very reasonable, communication was fast and replies via text were instant.
